The Ministry Forum is a leadership group that includes not only the elders and deacons but also those who have met certain criteria but are neither elders or deacons. It is designed to allow those who have a vested interest in the ministry of this church give input into decision making and to receive support in ministry.
Members who are not elders or deacons, must meet the following criteria:
- Agreement with the "Servant Covenant"
- The same moral qualifications of a deacon *
- Nomination by one or more deacons
- In the process of completing or intending to complete Xenos Core Courses (or equivalent)
- Regular attendance at our Sunday Morning meeting, regular involvement in a Home Church and/or involvement in a specific ministry that precludes home church (e.g., youth ministry), and regular involvement in a small-group ministry (when applicable)
- Minimum 5% giving (unless unable to do so for important reasons)
- Attendance and input at ministry forum meetings and elsewhere
- Maintaining the criteria for membership
* The primary differences between a deacon and a non-deacon member are that deacons are leading in a defined ministry capacity (e.g., small group, home church, youth ministry, active mentoring)
