 High School Ministry Minimize

“The House” Meeting
House is the name of our coed High School meeting that is open to all interested students.  It usually includes a discussion of a spiritual topic or a relevant biblical passage and plenty of time to hang out and develop relationships.  Some of us play sports (soccer, basketball, football, ultimate frisbee, etc., or board games or cards for fun.  We meet at Xenos' main building every Sunday night from about 7-10 pm.  In the summer months we often hang out later.  See “The House” schedule for details (soon to be available on the website; until then contact Jim Gifreda at JGifreda@aol.com or Renee Heath
at (513) 522-5633.

Student men and women's Bible Studies
These vary in composition and format, which is determined by the High School leaders (see contact information above).

Short-term mission trips
The High School ministry plans to offer a short-term mission trip (1-2 weeks) each Summer.  In the Summer of 2008 our trip was to Oyate Concern, a community development ministry based in Oglala, South Dakota.  In 2009 we travelled to Buffalo, NY where we served at the Buffalo Christian Center in downtown Buffalo.   We plan to travel to Buffalo again in 2010, and Oyate Concern in 2001.

Windy Gap
This is a weekend trip open to all students about the time of winter break in December.  It is an opportunity to create unity between Xenos, Northminster, and Wyoming Young Life students. It is a blast! For details contact Renee or Jim (see above) and see the Windy Gap website.

Special Events
Periodically the High School ministry facilitates special events such as High School Band Nights and Art Shows, game nights, and other events. See “The House” schedule for pre-scheduled dates. Attend the House for other event details.
